ONE DRIVE
CONCEPT 1
in the book, the cat has never been outside before and he left his home to find a dog which he has never see and only know that there big scary creatures. he believes that the car is a dog and gets in front of one to try to talk to it. the blurriness of the car can be seen as the car moving to very fast toward the cat or the cats imagination going wild as he never seen a dog or a car before and he sees comparing a car to a real creature. the cat himself is standing in a frightened pose but still somehow standing up to the "dog". the red in the drawing can signify danger that the cat is currently in.
CONCEPT 2
In the book, the family of British blue have a family council after some event transpires which worries the older cat leading to the council meeting. On the chair is the oldest cat out of them all who is leading the meeting with the adult cats sitting in front of him, the middle darkest fur his expression should be that of frustration, annoyance and unhappiness which you can't really see because of this dark fur. The two sitting behind them are supposed to be the oldest out of the kittens with the one facing use being the bully of the bunch which is evident by this scruffy fur and his wicked smirk. Then there are the kittens which don't care about what is happening and are to busy playing. Finally, the final cat he is alone making him look like the outcast with a worried/unsure expression and having orange eyes will the rest have green. the painting in the background I chose to foreshadow future events with a white bird signifying freedom.
CONCEPT 3
In the book, this was supposed to be a dream sequence which can be identified by the yellow and blue border as most dream sequences have some border or colour change to them to show that its a dream. In this dream, the younger cat (more kitten-like)is being taught how to hear and feel from great distances which I have shown by the cats looking directly at the cricket whose emitting some type of seen by a "glow" around the cricket. The older cat is the one that he is teaching him but he isn't real, as this is a dream and I show this by giving the older cat a misty appearance.
