PRODUCTION - CONCEPT  2
For this piece I want to show how the main character is outcasted by his family and question why he is the only one that looks worried/scared will the rest are very calm or playing.

First, I started with a sketch to plan out where all the ten cats will go along with what there pose is going to be.

Once done, I started drawing a chair and all the cats, starting out with a first sketch and the final sketch, which helped me block out each cat and one furniture with random colours. When it comes to the cats from most/all of them I used a google image to get the poses right with some changes.

In the final piece, I changed the design of the chair as there was a picture of the chair shown in the book and it looked nothing like it and it really bugged me.

One difficulty I found while colouring this piece is that all the cats are the same species of cat (which is a British blue) so I had to make sure the cats don't blend in with one another and are in a similar colour spectrum.

Finally, I created the background at the end. In the book, the fireplace is the only thing that was mentioned so everything else was left to my imagination and to fill in the open space.

In the final product, I added shading and the glow from the fire.

I wanted to give the audience the impression of the main character being outcasted along with the question of why he is worried/scared. I did this by putting him in a frightened pose with his tail between his and his ears down. In my opinion, I have done this successfully.
